Jeff Wilke
Jeff Wilke is an American executive who joined Amazon in 1999 to run its operations, led the buildout of its fulfillment network, and was CEO of its Worldwide Consumer business from 2016 to 2021.
What they did and why it matters
Wilke turned Amazon's fulfillment from a holiday scramble into an engineered network, setting the speed and reliability benchmarks that brands and 3PLs are now measured against. Amazon hired him from AlliedSignal in 1999 as vice president and general manager of operations, when even senior executives helped ship packages at peak, and he led the buildout of the global operations that later supported Prime. From 2016 he ran the whole consumer business, including Prime, the marketplace, and Whole Foods, before retiring in 2021 and co-founding Re:Build Manufacturing. Fast, accurate e-commerce fulfillment at scale owes much to the network he built.
