Pick List

Pick List is a list, printed or shown on a scanner, telling a picker which items, quantities, and storage locations to collect for one or more orders, usually sorted in walking order.

Topic: Fulfillment & Warehousing Entry FUL-198

Why it matters for ecommerce brands

A well-sequenced pick list shortens walking routes and reduces mispicks. Paper pick lists lack scan confirmation, so errors are often only caught at packing or by the customer.

Common questions

What is the difference between a pick list and a packing slip?
A pick list is an internal warehouse document that tells staff where to find items. A packing slip goes in the box and tells the recipient what was shipped.
