Print-and-Apply
Print-and-apply is equipment that automatically prints a shipping or compliance label and applies it to a carton or parcel, usually as the package moves along a conveyor.
Why it matters for ecommerce brands
It removes a manual labeling step at high volume and reduces mislabeled parcels. Combined with a scale and dimensioner, it can rate and label packages without a person handling them.
Common questions
- When does print-and-apply labeling make sense?
- When a warehouse ships a high and steady volume of parcels or cartons along a conveyor line. At lower volumes, a person with a desktop label printer is usually more cost-effective.
