Topic: Inventory Planning Entry INV-070

Why it matters for ecommerce brands

Dead stock keeps generating storage fees. Common exits are bundling, discounting, liquidation, or donation.

Common questions

When does inventory become dead stock?
There is no single rule, but many brands label a SKU dead stock when it has had no sales for a set period, such as 90 to 180 days, or when it can no longer be sold because it is expired, discontinued, or outdated.
